Currently we are not offering any custom laptops simply because we are not able to compete with the likes of Acer & HP. We’re not real excited about what HP is doing but we do like what Acer is doing.
So, with regard to not fighting them, rather, joining them we are offering Acer laptops as they become available in good quantity and really low price with a twist...
We take these $500 - $600 dollar laptops and do from scratch installs of Vista 64 Home Premium, using the same license key that typically comes with. We do our Optimized installation and “ExecClassConfig” for the best laptop experience on a budget you can find in the world. We do charge $300 on top of the laptop’s cost for this goodness for what still is a very good deal of $800 - $900 plus shipping.
On some units, better, matched memory DIMMs improve performance as well as swapping out the low budget drive for a super fast Seagate “Momentus” 320GB hard drive. These additions are cheap often adding only $150 to the total cost but nearly doubling the snappiness of the system!
